That's normal for games by independent developers. Choose More info, then Run anyway. You only need to do it once.

Sonarush isn't verified by Apple yet. Move Sonarush.app to Applications, open Terminal (Command plus Space, type Terminal, Return) and type this once:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Sonarush.app

Alternatively: try to open the app, close the warning, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and press Open Anyway (it appears for about an hour after the attempt).

Sonarush for Mac needs Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It doesn't run on Intel Macs.

If the automatic update fails, "Download the update" appears in the main menu and opens the itch.io page. Download the new zip and put it in place of the old one: your progress isn't stored in the game folder, so nothing is lost. On a Mac, replace Sonarush.app and unblock it again as on first launch.

Outside the game folder, so updating or reinstalling doesn't touch it. On Windows, type %APPDATA%\Sonarush in the File Explorer address bar; on a Mac it's in Library, Application Support, Sonarush, in your user folder. With an online account it's also saved on the server.

Use stereo headphones and check they're the right way round. In Settings, Audio, 3D audio should be on for headphones and off for speakers. In Space and Directions you can choose to hear directions as left and right or as compass points. The Audio glossary, in Help and information, lets you hear every sound with its explanation.

In Settings, Audio, lower the panning limit: sounds stay closer to the centre and don't vanish on one side. You can also raise the volume of objectives and landmarks without raising the shots.

Start your screen reader before the game. If none is running, Sonarush uses the Windows voice. With NVDA, if braille messages disappear too quickly, raise the braille message timeout in NVDA's settings.

Open VoiceOver Utility (VO plus F8) and, in the General section, turn on "Allow VoiceOver to be controlled with AppleScript". When macOS asks for the Apple Events permission, answer OK; if you denied it, you'll find it in System Settings, Privacy & Security, Automation. In the game, Settings, Voice and Announcements, Voice channel tells you which voice it's using and why.

In Settings, Voice and Announcements, choose the verbosity (Essential, Normal or Detailed), the announcement pace and which announcements to turn off. Every announcement you turn off still leaves its sound.

VoiceOver's Quick Nav is probably on: press Left Arrow and Right Arrow together to turn it off.

On first launch skip the training and answer that you already have an account, or go to Settings, Online account. You can get back in with your recovery code, with a six-character code from your other computer (Link another device), or with your email if you linked one.

If the account is still open on one of your computers, read or regenerate the code in Settings, Online account. If you linked an email, you can sign in with it. Otherwise write to us with your account tag (eight characters): we'll see what we can do, but without the code or an email it isn't always possible to prove the account is yours.

From your Profile. The first change is free, later ones cost gems. Offensive names or names that impersonate others aren't allowed.

In Settings, Online account, Delete the account: you confirm with your recovery code. For 14 days you can change your mind by recovering it; after that the account is deleted with everything in it. See also the privacy notice.

It usually takes a few minutes. Meanwhile you can play offline: your progress adds up as soon as the server is back.

To play online everyone needs the same version. The game updates itself and reopens: a match in progress isn't interrupted.

If there aren't enough players after ten seconds in the queue, medium-difficulty bots take the empty spots, so you never wait long. With a squad of friends, or in a room, you choose who plays.

Open their card (from friends, recent players or a leaderboard) and choose Report, with the reason. You can also block them. With "Do not disturb", in the Friends menu, nobody can invite you or listen to your matches.
